교육자이자 아티스트, 갤러리 디렉터인 Jamie Jungmin Kim 대표는 한국과 미국 통틀어 교육경력 30여년이 넘는 베테랑 교육가 입니다.
Atlanta에서 학생들을 가르쳤던 제이미 대표는 미래의 아티스트를 꿈꾸는 학생들을 위해 송도 국제도시에 유학미술 The J Art Institute를 준비했습니다. 오랜 기간의 경험과 노하우를 바탕으로 전략적인 입학 컨설팅을 통해 미국 미술 대학 진학에 높은 합격률을 자신합니다.
또한 갤러리 공간을 마련하여 신진작가들과 중견작가들의 작품을 자주 노출하여 학생들이 현대 미술을 더 가까이, 더 자주 접함으로써 현대 미술에 대한 이해도를 높여 주고자 하였습니다.
우리 더제이아트 학생들이 좋은 학교에서 더욱 많은 수학을 마치고 다시 저희와 연계하여 전시와 다양한 미술 교류를 하는 선 순환을 기대합니다.
아티스트의 꿈을 가진 학생들이 저희 더 제이를 통해 아트로 힐링하고 그들의 꿈을 이룰 수 있도록 노력하겠습니다.

전문성
1. 미국에서 'The Jamie Art' 를 운영했던 Jamie Jungmin Kim 원장님이 그동안의 미술교육 경험을 바탕으로 함께 포트폴리오를 만들어갑니다.
2. 미국 명문 미대 SCAD대학교 명예교수님(Tom Francis)의 정기적 크리틱 수업이 있습니다.
3. 미국 조지아주 내 권위있는 HUDGENS Center를 통해 미국학생들과 교류의 기회를 갖습니다.
4. 매년 미국에서 주최하는 International Competition에 참가합니다.
5. 미국, 영국, 한국 명문대학 출신의 다양한 분야의 전문가 선생님들과 정기적인 미팅과 스페셜 수업을 가집니다.
6. 더제이 주관 정기적인 대회와 전시회를 주최하여 학생들의 실력을 향상시켜줍니다.
7. 애틀란타와 송도 갤러리 운영을 통해 만난 양질의 작가들과의 직접적인 교류로 현대미술의 흐름에 관한 감각과 전문성을 확보하고 있습니다.
8. 학생들은 미술수업을 받기 위해 갤러리에 왕래 하면서 자연스럽게 다양한 미술 작업을 접할 수 있고, 작가들과의 교류도 가능합니다.
9. 더제이에서는 실기실에서 작품 제작한것을 전시공간에 직접 설치와 디스플레이를 통해 잠재력을 최대한으로 끌어내 연구, 발전 시킵니다.
1:1 프라이빗 레슨
1. 수업은 기본적으로 학생의 목표 학교와 개인별 수준차를 반영한 탄력적인 수업이 진행됩니다.
2. 개인별로 상황을 파악하여 장점을 개발시키고, 개별 자료를 활용한 철저한 개인 맞춤 커리큘럼으로 진행됩니다.
3. 전체 학생이 소수 정예 유지를 원칙으로 하여 원장 선생님에게 집중적인 관리를 받을 수 있으며, 학생 한 명 한 명에게 집중할 수 있는 환경을 조성, 유지합니다.
4. 장학금을 목표로하는 프라이빗 레슨이므로 적어도 2-3년의 준비를 함께 할 수 있는 시간을 가지고 시작 하는 학생을 모집합니다.

1. 대학 입학 후에도 학생이 작가로 성장할 수 있도록, 실무에 적응할 수 있도록 평생의 예술적 멘토가 되어줍니다.
